What does the word systemical (systemic-constructivist) mean?
The word “systemical” is new in Slovak language - in English it can be translated as systemic-constructivist. It does not mean the same as systematic or simply systemic. Systemic-constructivist approach is a complete scientific concept with its own methodology, notable tested in different areas of working with people. It is based on the latest scientific experience from the end of 20th century (philosophy of constructivism, theory of communication, theory of systems and autopoiesis, second order cybernetics, theory of chaos and self-organization and other scientific concepts). There are more systemic-constructivist approaches known in the world nowadays – the most famous one is called Solution Focused approach by Steve de Shazer and Insoo Kim Berg (USA) and narrative approach by Michael White and David Epston (Australia).
Systemic-constructivist management is a progressive managing concept which is known more for its cooperation than competition. Organizations´ system is build more on good working relationships and good relationships between suppliers and customers than on relationship based on making difference between superiors and employees. Systemic manager, in cooperation with people, accepts the scientific knowledge that human beings are basically creatures that can not be managed effectively all day. The manager knows the philosophy and theory basis of systemic management and applies them in practice using open communication and dialogue.
